Adam and Sebastian, both Bay Area natives, discovered their love for film at an early age and each began directing music videos during high school. After a chance encounter in an Uber Pool in Los Angeles, they realized they shared the same passion for visual storytelling. That meeting led to the creation of Blinktone Studios, a film studio rental in Hayward where they built sets, collaborated with, and connected many of the Bay Area’s emerging directors. Their shared mission to strengthen the local creative community eventually inspired the launch of the CMV Festival—a music video film festival dedicated to uplifting and celebrating the Bay Area’s often-overlooked filmmaking talent.
